Legumes are an important component of midwestern pastures. They increase yield and quality of grass pastures and provide nitrogen to grasses. This booklet identifies the nine most common legumes in midwestern pastures (48 pages; Reviewed in 2017).
Legumes included: crown vetch, hairy vetch, alfalfa, birdsfoot trefoil, kura clover, red clover, sweet clover, alsike clover, and white clover.
